General Satellite Corporation is a Russian company holding with a 21-year long history. Since 1991, it has been presenting technical integration solutions in the field of telecommunications and hi-tech electronic equipment. The only manufacturer of digital “Tricolor TV“ set-top-boxes in Russia.
About the cooperation
Careful analysis of the product requirements and planned production volumes has created the preconditions for the modernisation of the General Satellite manufacturing facilities. Ostec introduced the advanced technological solutions based on FUJI hi-tech equipment. The manufacturing facilities were retrofitted with three high-performance lines — each equipped with 14 FUJI NXT modules. As a result of the modernisation, capacity of the plant increased to 300,000 units per month. The design capacity has increased, and the competitiveness of the company was enhanced due to the introduction of quality control and traceability of product manufacturing process. All production data is consolidated on the server, which allows to conduct online analysis of the production process, eliminate downtime, and prevent defects. Today, it is the largest assembling facility in Russia.
